Since biblical days, the trails crossing the deserts of the Middle East are part of the history of all major religions; it was on these trails were Moses led the people of Israel during the Exodus, Jesus used on his way to Jerusalem, and Mohamed the Prophet took in his journeys. They all walked the same desert nomad trails we still walk on today.
In 2012, the Negev desert was ranked the second on Lonely Planet top ten list of regions to visit. In this fascinating, untouched land of the craters in the Negev, Desert Shade Group offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience eco-vacation adventures; located on the edge of the Great Crater, with nothing but desert nature in sight, waking up every morning to a panoramic view of God’s creation.
Desert Shade is the place to experience the magic of the desert: located on the edge of the Great Crater, with nothing but desert nature in sight, all structures are built to co-exist with nature. We have a unique restaurant onsite, offering local homemade cuisine, and our own vineyard where we produce wine from grapes grown in the desert! We also offer a wide range of outdoor activities, from hiking to biking and visiting the local Beduim nomad community.
Our motto is celebrating the connection between men, nature and the magic of desert life, which shapes the way we design and operate our accommodations and activities. Join us and experience the magic of the desert, the Desert Nomads culture, a culture without borders.
